Job Summary

A reputable manufacturing company in Limpopo is looking for a goal-driven External Sales Representative to join their growing team. The main focus of the position is to achieve and exceed sales targets, build client relationships, and offer technical and after-sales support—all while maintaining exceptional service standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base
  • Respond to client queries promptly and professionally
  • Provide accurate and competitive quotations to clients
  • Visit clients on-site to discuss products, pricing, and services
  • Assist with tender pricing and maintain accurate pricelists
  • Handle order follow-ups, delivery tracking, and after-sales service
  • Support credit application processes and assist clients in completing necessary forms
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and in accordance with company protocols
  • Provide technical support and product knowledge, particularly related to building materials
  • Maintain compliance with the company’s code of ethics and conduct
  • Conduct regular reporting to management on client feedback and market trends

Minimum Requirements

Education & Licensing

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential
  • Valid driver’s license required for client visits

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of proven experience in technical sales or as a sales representative
  • Prior experience in building materials or construction industry preferred

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications related to construction materials
  • Knowledge of local industry trends and customer needs

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Professional presentation and customer-first mindset
  • Problem-solving and solution-oriented thinking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organized and able to manage multiple sales pipelines simultaneously
