Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Actively promote and sell diesel fuel injection components and related spare parts
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing clients while prospecting for new business
- Accurately process sales orders, quotes, and delivery schedules
- Provide knowledgeable advice to customers regarding product compatibility and benefits
- Follow up on leads, order statuses, and client feedback
- Monitor market trends and report competitor activity
- Cross-sell and upsell products where appropriate to maximize revenue
- Work closely with the procurement team to ensure product availability and timely delivery
- Prepare regular sales performance and market analysis reports for the Sales Manager
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in diesel sales, preferably involving fuel injection systems and spare parts
- Proven track record in internal sales or customer-facing sales support in the automotive industry
Education
- Matric (Grade 12) is required
- Relevant post-matric qualifications in automotive mechanics, sales, or technical fields are a plus
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Solid understanding of diesel fuel injection systems and their applications
- Knowledge of spare parts for various vehicle categories: passenger, light, medium, and heavy-duty
- Basic knowledge of automotive electrical components and how they integrate with diesel systems
Computer & System Proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Experience using inventory management or sales processing software will be advantageous
Sales & Interpersonal Competencies
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse customers
- Energetic, persuasive, and results-driven personality
- Strong sense of urgency, organization, and attention to detail
