Job Overview
RPO Recruitment is hiring a skilled Technician to join a reputable company specializing in industrial cleaning equipment. This role is ideal for a technical professional with hands-on experience in servicing floor cleaning machinery such as walk-behind and ride-on scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuums.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, field-based environment, providing on-site diagnostics, repair services, and customer training support. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on industrial cleaning machines
- Work with battery-powered, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Provide on-site technical service as well as support from the company’s workshop
- Install and commission new equipment at client locations
- Maintain accurate service documentation, job cards, and warranty records
- Offer technical advice and support to sales teams and clients
- Conduct training sessions for customers on the correct use and care of cleaning machines
- Support spare parts inventory control and stock management for service tools and consumables
Candidate Requirements
✅ Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with floor cleaning machines
- Trade-tested or certified technician (advantageous)
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and battery-operated systems essential
✅ Technical and Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- A client-first approach and the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and internal teams
- Basic computer literacy for service recordkeeping
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites across Gauteng
