The City of Tshwane is seeking suitable candidates to fill 100 fixed-term Cleaner positions in the Group Property Department under the Facilities Management and Office Accommodation section. This contract is valid for a period not exceeding three years and is open to internal and external applicants.

Purpose of the Job

To render cleaning services and provide ad hoc removal services at various administrative buildings across the City of Tshwane.

Requirements for Appointment

Education: Basic literacy with the ability to perform duties.
Experience: Relevant cleaning service experience in an office environment is advantageous.
Physical Requirements: Good physical fitness and health, with the ability to perform physical work for extended periods.
Deployment: Applicants must be willing to be placed or deployed anywhere in Tshwane as required by departmental management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Cleaning various administrative buildings and office areas, including:
Offices, passages, and outside areas (sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, stripping, sealing, and vacuuming).
Bins, ashtrays, windows, walls, stairways, lifts, and vehicles.
Toilets, washrooms, kitchens, and office equipment.
Filling soap and paper holders, and maintaining deo-blocks.
Collecting recyclable paper for the City.
Providing ad hoc removal services upon request.

Note: Duties may be adjusted based on operational requirements within the same job level.
